our story

On a cold and stormy night in the winter of 1946, three sisters, Loretta, Charlotte, and Frances Bielawski, were on a train returning home from a meeting of Klub Polski in New York City.

They had an animated discussion about the need for a club in their community that would promote Polish culture through education, the arts, and community service.

From that inspiring conversation, the Polish Arts Club of Trenton was founded in 1946 by a group of Polish-American men and women who shared a deep love for their heritage and a desire to keep Polish traditions alive for future generations. It continues today as a vibrant organization with a lasting impact on our community.
